Our Women’s Stories

J’s Story -

J came to TWW via the Criminal Justice System. J's progress has been excellent and she has consistently displayed a high level of motivation to complete the requirements of her Community Order and has, in effect exceeded the Order completing over and above the 20 day Specified Activity Requirement and has since volunteered extra hours for UPW (unpaid work) at TWW, motivating other women to successfully complete their Orders.

S’s Story -

S was a quiet, shy lady. Over time she began to increase in confidence and began to actively encourage women who were new to TWW, making them feel welcome.

S joined the singing group at TWW and has since attended various events where she has had the opportunity to sing for the CEO of Merseyside CRC and at TWW on International Women’s Day in front of a large audience of women.

R’s Story -

R was suffering from anxiety, depression, an eating disorder, suicidal thoughts and she self-harmed. R engaged with Tomorrow’s Women Wirral and was linked in with two drop-ins at TWW; Tomorrow’s People and Achieve Northwest. Both supported R and contributed to recording equipment so that R could pursue her interest in Radio / Media. R is shortly being nominated for an award by Tomorrow’s People advisor Karen for her exceptional progress.
