Official Launch of Online Domestic Abuse course
Tomorrow’s Women are pleased to announce the Official Launch of their new Online Domestic Abuse course.
Following funding from the Fusion21 Foundation, an extension of national procurement provider Fusion21, Tomorrow’s Women have created an online interactive version of their Finding Me course which can be completed without the need to access the centre. The course has been built by Tacklit, an online training platform. By delivering this course online, Tomorrow’s Women are able to further remove barriers to support which women with young children might face.
Jo Hannan, Head of Foundation at Fusion21 said:
“The Fusion21 Foundation is passionate about funding practical solutions that make positive differences in people’s lives. We’re delighted to have contributed £20,000 to this important project following an introduction from Fusion21 member Magenta Living, as it continues to work in partnership with Tomorrow’s Women.“This initiative will offer vital online support to very vulnerable domestic abuse victims - including women residing within Magenta Living’s communities - and has resonated with our Health and Wellbeing funding priority.”
As a charity, funding is crucial in allowing Tomorrow’s Women to provide ongoing support to women. The online course was launched on Friday 2nd August 2024 with an event welcoming partners and organisations from both the Wirral and Cheshire West areas. The course will then be rolled out to women who will be able to complete it with the support of an IDVA.
Karen Horner, CEO of Tomorrow’s Women says “Creating this course has been 12 months in the making and we are so excited for it to launch. This new format will allow us to broaden our reach to support more women survivors/ victims of domestic abuse. We are so grateful to the Fusion21 Foundation and Tacklit for their support on this project”
