Tomorrow’s Women is expanding
Tomorrow’s Women is expanding to deliver women’s services across Wirral, Cheshire West and Chester
Wirral based women’s charity Tomorrow’s Women (TW) is expanding into Cheshire West and Chester areas to support females to a happier, healthier, safer life within the Chester West and Chester area.
TW will be working closely with partner colleagues at PSS who have been awarded both the Cheshire and Merseyside contracts, and as subcontractors TW will continue to deliver in the Wirral, and expand services into Cheshire West and Chester.
Through a holistic, multi-agency approach TW provide targeted interventions to adult women providing specific, offence focused support to address issues that have led to a woman offending. Often, women experience multi-complex issues that will lead them down the wrong path and so TW takes a wrap-around approach to offer expertise in areas including mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse – as well as tailored guidance for employment and training, housing and health in partnership with local agencies; all of which is also open to the wider women’s community as part of their main charity Centre based in central Birkenhead.
TW has supported 9442 women to date and has an established history with supporting female offenders through their community orders and Community Payback hours, and as such are excited at the prospect of offering expertise in new areas supporting even more women towards positive changes.
TW Chief Executive Officer Angela Murphy says:
‘I am delighted that PSS has been announced as the Prime provider of Women’s Probation services across Merseyside and Cheshire, following the Ministry of Justice UK announcement of Government funding to help cut crime in the new probation system. I am also delighted that Tomorrow’s Women, as partner sub-contractors with PSS, will continue to work in Wirral and newly expand into Cheshire West areas. I am sure myself and all of the staff at PSS and Tomorrow’s Women look forward to facilitating life transformation to some of the most vulnerable women in our society. #Womensupportingwomen #rehabilitationworks.’
The contracts will commence on 26th June 2021.
