International Women’s Day 2025

Tomorrow’s Women celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) with fantastic, fun-filled events at both Wirral and Chester centres.

Accelerate Action

The theme for this year’s event is accelerate action which emphasises the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.

We welcomed a number of inspirational speakers, enjoyed activities and performances, as well as delicious refreshments.

In Wirral, we welcomed fantastic speakers including Lauren, an ADHD expert, poets Michelle and Jenny, Julie who was one of the first tutors here at TW, Jess the creator of Positivity Club, Angela Samata a Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside, and musician Kiera Marsland.

In Chester, we welcomed fantastic speakers including Dr Dancy an expert in reproductive health, Emma-Jayne an expert in women empowerment, and Lindsay an ADHD expert. We also completed a crafts piece, enjoyed activities and had delicious refreshments.

Both events were a huge success, and were thoroughly enjoyed by women, staff and partners as we celebrated all it means to be a woman, how much further we have to go, and what we can do to Accelerate Action.
