Our volunteers are very important to us!
All volunteers bring their own unique skills and qualities to our centre. By working alongside staff and service providers, volunteers enhance the whole service that TW provides to benefit the women who access our charity.
Some volunteers prefer to take part in surveys, consultations, or discussions where they influence and improve community-based activity. Other volunteers are happier if they can assist with practical hands-on tasks. Each of the volunteers' aspirations, preferences, qualities and skills are tailored to and developed through their volunteering at the centre.
Whatever tasks and activities you do for us, as a volunteer, your time and effort will be greatly appreciated and valued by everyone: staff, service users, carers, and visitors.
All TWW volunteers are DBS checked and often offered training.
Volunteering is a brilliant way to gain life experience. Finding new interests and hobbies through volunteering can be fun, relaxing and energising. But also, volunteering is the ideal way to expand your work portfolio and boost your own career options.
If you feel you are an open-minded, caring, supportive, and non-judgmental woman, and want to have a meaningful and positive impact on your community then please get in touch!
