This opportunity is a fantastic one, if we do say so ourselves, for you to be an Empowerment Advisor in a dynamic, expanding, high profile, women’s Charity: Tomorrow’s Women Wirral! Our charity is open to all adult women in a safe 'women only' environment. We offer space for partner agencies to provide a series of targeted interventions which are tailored to individual female needs, often through a multi-agency, problem solving approach.
The role of Empowerment Advisor is a crucial and varied role within our women's centre, particularly with the anticipated increase of women in need of TWW following COVID. You will be working with the women, providing advice and support and encouraging women down a positive path and will be working with young women 14-17 in our newest, exciting young person's project Tomorrow's Young Women.
Our Senior Empowerment Advisor Nicky said on the job:
Our team has grown so much and we work with some incredible women who not only support each other as a staff team as well as the women accessing the service! It great to see the positive lifestyle changes that are happening, and I get great pleasure seeing women support other women who are starting their journey at the centre and with our newest young women project, the role of Empowerment Advisor is expanding with even more amazing opportunities.
To make a good EA she says you need to be "a good listener, knowledgable, empathetic and adaptable."
Our newest Empowerment Advisor Sophie said this about her role:
"Being an Empowerment adviser is extremely rewarding in many ways. Not only has it broadened my awareness and knowledge of the challenges some women face, but being able to support these women and help to make a difference to their lives or even just their day, enriches my life. I would encourage any woman to apply for this role if they are passionate about helping others and are looking for job satisfaction."
