In celebrating Volunteers Week, we hosted an afternoon for local charities and partner organisations to come together and promote their work, opportunities and celebrate local women who give their time for organisations like ours. Each were given the opportunity to describe their organisation in just 30 seconds (countdown, and all!) and network with the women of Wirral to encourage them to get involved in their projects. The result of which was a fantastic one, with some women already being invited for interview with some of the agencies who attended! Good luck, ladies!
As a charity organisation ourselves, we have an incredible team of ever-growing volunteers whose time and work is incredibly valued here at the centre. Volunteering in a variety of different areas from our own charity Trustee Board (including Chair, Maureen Thompson), those who volunteer within the centre, deliver their specialisms free of charge for the women who access us and our Fundraising Committee, they help to make our work outstanding! We want to make it known to the world about these amazing women so thank you again to you all, and to future volunteers who will help to make Tomorrow's Women even greater.
If you would be interested in becoming a volunteer you can visit our volunteers page for more information on how to express your interest! You may well be in our Volunteer Fair photograph this time next year if you just make that next step... who knows?!
