Case Study 1

S was a quiet, shy lady. Over time she began to increase in confidence and began to actively encourage women who were new to TWW, making them feel welcome.

S joined the singing group at TWW and has since attended various events where she has had the opportunity to sing for the CEO of Merseyside CRC and at TWW on International Women’s Day in front of a large audience of women.

S has completed a Peer Mentor course and now volunteers at TWW where she supports and mentors other women. S stands out as she has gone above and beyond in terms of her volunteering role.  S actively supports any woman in the centre regardless of their criteria. Many of these women are vulnerable and could be on the periphery of the Criminal Justice System without support being put in place.
